It is fascinating to kno...What an interesting post! It is fascinating to know that there are such specialized species that have evolved so exclusively with each other, they become totally dependent on the others existence. Such specialized plants and animals should be regarded with more care. They survived millions or thousands of years of evolution together only to wither away with the rest of the worlds diversity. I believe we studied another plant/insect species that only interacted with each other. It involved some species of ants and a type of poisonous shrub if I recall vaguely.
